Introduction
The Campbell Hoffman Foundation provides funding for projects and/or agencies that implement its mission. Typically awarded annually, these grants may be made through a Grant Announcement process or by direct invitation.
Grantmaking Policies
Eligible organizations include not-for- profit [501 (c) (3)] organizations, government agencies and faith-based organizations. Eligible organizations must be both located in and serve the target populations of Northern Virginia. Northern Virginia is defined as the counties of Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun and Prince William and the cities of Alexandria, Falls Church, Fairfax, Manassas and Manassas Park. The Foundation will exercise the necessary diligence to ensure that Foundation funds do not supplant public contributions or other funding. Public-private partnerships are encouraged.
Funding frequency: Eligible entities may apply for funding annually. Under certain circumstances, multi-year funding may be granted.
Funding scope: The Foundation will not provide funding for capital campaigns, endowment campaigns, special events and/or conferences (including travel to and participation in same) , emergency funding, loans, capital projects (including but not limited to building, construction or renovation), land purchases, lawsuits, films, video or publications. The Foundation may choose to provide general operating support.
Confidentiality statement: Unless entities request to the contrary, the Foundation will not treat grant inquiries as confidential information. The Foundation may discuss the entity's organization and/or inquiry with other funders, individuals identified in the application/proposal, outside experts or other appropriate people in the community.
